SHANGHAI ADDA - আমাদের পরিচয়
You can take a Bengali out of Bengal but you can never take Bengal out of a Bengali. They inevitably rekindle the milieu of their ancestral land by seeking out fellow Bengalis in their new abode howsoever far it might be from Bengal. It may start with simple sessions of “adda” and pretty soon they form an association to organize quintessentially Bengali community activities like Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, etc.
Shanghai Adda was started in 2006 by a small group of people who wanted to preserve the rich art, literature, and culture of West Bengal, India, situated thousands of miles away from their adopted home in China. We are a small friendly group that is very welcoming to new friends.
বাঙ্গালি মানেই দুর্গা পুজা, হইচই, খাওয়া দাওয়া এবং জমিয়ে আড্ডা। We welcome everybody regardless of color, caste, race, national origin, ethnicity and religion, who are interested in our culture and heritage to join us and participate in our celebrations and initiatives. We welcome you all to join us in Shanghai Adda.
